Hogan Systems posts a sharp rise in profits.

Hogan Systems Inc. reported higer earnings for its second fiscal quarter ended Sept. 30. The profits were driven manily by a rise in professional services fees, officials at the bank software firm said.

Dallas-based Hogan said it recorded $1.3 million in net income, or 9 cents per share, compared with $322,000 in fiscal 1994's corresponding period. Professional services revenue rose 78%, executives said, as Hogan was engaged in each variety of projects with banks in connec- tion with the implementation of previously licensed software products. "We expect to continue to improve our services margin through the year, in part from higher rates increasingly reflected in new professional services contracts," said Michael H. Anderson, Hogan's chairman and chief executive.
