Portuguese operator joins Cirrus program.

WESTCHESTER, Ill. -- Cirrus System Inc. announced that SIBS, the interbank payment systems operator in Portugal, is participating in the Travelers Access global automated teller machine marketing program.

Signs have been installed in the Lisbon airport calling attention to a Cirrus/MasterCard ATM operated by SIBS, short for Sociedade Interbancaria de Servicios. The Lisbon airport serves five million passengers a year.

The Travelers Access program provides Signs, location directories, and other advertising and marketing support for ATM services in airports and other high-traffic locations.

Other recent participants in Travelers Access (and their airport ATM sites) are Argencard (Buenos Aires), Bank of Montreal (Toronto), and ICBC (Taipei, Taiwan). The program has reached 69 of the world's 100 largest airports Cirrus said.
