Angel Alvarez-Perez, president and chief executive officer of FirstBank Puerto Rico, Santurce, has joined the board of the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York.
He is the fifth commercial banker to join the board and the first from Puerto Rico to be a director of any of the 12 banks in the Home Loan Bank System.
