Freddie Mac marketing via interactive media.

High-tech, multimedia presentations to customers and consumers are making further headway in home lending.

Seroka & Associates, a Brookfield, Wis., home-loan marketing and public relations concern, has recently completed its largest such project for the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp.

Patrick H. Seroka, president, said three other lenders have approached the company about creating a similar marketing program. "This seems to have emerge so well because people are so much more computer literate," he said. "They recognize the advantages of it." Seroka has also created a similar high-tech presentation for CPI.

The presentation utilizes special computer equipment which allows for better, more-elaborate uses of video and interactivity, said Steven V. Bruss, special projects manager.

Seroka used the technology to promote Freddie Mac's Loan Prospector and GoldWorks programs. For CPI, Seroka also designed a computer disk to replace a promotional brochure.

Mr. Seroka said the interactive technology was "very consumer friendly." He said the company was in talks with banks in the Midwest and along the East coast about introducing the interactive computer programs to consumers.

Mr. Seroka said the system would operate out of a kiosk in a lender's branch. He said through interactive, high-tech features, consumers will be able to preapprove themselves for a loan.
