Morgan to lead issue of bonds for Poland.

NEW YORK -- J.P. Morgan and Co. Inc. has won the mandate to lead Poland's first sovereign bond issue since the country defaulted on its debts, the Financial Times reported.

The bonds should allow Poland to borrow money more cheaply than Hungary, which serviced its borrowings throughout the debt crisis.

Pricing is indicated at about 200 basis points over U.S. Treasuries, the paper said.
