SILICON VALLEY Bancshares, San Jose, Calif., has elected James R. Porter to the board of directors of the holding company and its principal subsidiary, Silicon Valley Bank.
Mr. Porter has held senior positions in technology-based companies for over 20 years. He is now chief executive of Triad Systems Corp., Livermore, Calif.
