Midwest Payment Systems announced last week that it signed a data processing contract with Sunset Foods. a Chicago-based supermarket chain, to process Visa, Mastercard, and Discover credit card transactions.
Midwest, a subsidiary of Fifth Third Bancorp, processes more than 75 million transactions each month for retail and financial institution customers.
In the first quarter of this year. MPS added 330 new companies to its merchant processing service with more than $382 million in annual credit card sales.
