Rancho Vista names Stewart CEO, president; Dunahee quits.

Judy A. Stewart was named president and chief executive officer of Rancho Vista National Bank, Vista, Calif.

Ms. Stewart took the helm from Michael H. Dunahee, who has left the bank to pursue other interests.

Salvatore Colucci continues as chairman of the board of the community bank.

Ms. Stewart had been the bank's executive vice president and chief operating officer before assuming her new post. She had been second in command of the bank since its founding in 1982. Before joining Rancho Vista, she was a vice president at Bank of America.

Several years ago, Ms. Stewart was instrumental in developing a partnership between the bank and the Vista Community Clinic. The clinic provides prenatal care of expectant mothers. Since many patients cannot afford even baseline services, Rancho Vista offers a zero-interest "baby loan" to ensure healthy pregnancies and deliveries.

Ms. Stewart has an MBA from the University of San Diego.

MIDWEST

AMERICAN NATIONAL Bank, Vincennes, Ind., a subsidiary of Ambanc Corp., said Chris D. Melton has joined it as regional senior vice president.

Mr. Melton is responsible for developing new business in southern Indiana, as well as coordinating all bank activities in Gibson County.

He previously was president and a board member of National City Bank of Evansville, where he had worked 16 years.

EDENS BANK, Wilmette, Ill., said Jack C. Nahigian has joined its board of directors.

Mr. Nahigian is owner of H.C. Nahigian & Sons Inc. of Skokie, Ill., a floor-covering store.

MIDDLE ATLANTIC

BENEFICIAL SAVINGS Bank, Philadelphia, promoted Robert B. Sadoff to senior vice president of the information system division.

Mr. Sadoff has worked at Beneficial since 1974 and was named a vice president in 1985.

SPENCER SAVINGS Bank, Garfield, N.J., promoted Jane E. Allen to first senior vice president.

APOLLO TRUST Co., Apollo, Pa., elected Raymond E. Muth to its board of directors.

Mr. Muth is executive vice president and secretary of the bank, where he oversees all operations, including the computer and accounting systems.

NATIONAL PENN Bank in Boyertown, Pa., appointed Ronald E. Boyce senior vice president and chief information officer.

Mr. Boyce has responsibility for all information systems, deposit operations, and security.

He had been chief information officer and senior manager of information systems and the operations services department at Commonwealth Bancshares Corp., a regional bank holding company in central and northeastern Pennsylvania.

ASTORIA FEDERAL SAVINGS and Loan Association, Lake Success, N.Y., named Ira M. Yourman director of mortgage servicing, with the corporate title of vice president. He will manage all mortgage-servicing-related functions for the thrift.

He formerly was regional vice president, loan servicing, at First Federal Savings and Loan Association, Rochester, N.Y.

MADISON BANK, Blue Bell, Pa., promoted Kimberley Booth to assistant vice president/manager of its Conshohocken branch.

UNITED VALLEY Bank, Philadelphia, appointed Samuel Gabriel Sr. and Robert J. Peterman to its Bucks and Montgomery counties advisory board.

Appointed to the bank's Main Line advisory board were Dr. Albert L. Pizzica and Alan D. Silverman.

Mr. Gabriel is president of Gabriel & Cerruti Builders Inc., a Philadelphia-based construction, real estate development, and management company.

Mr. Peterman is vice president/treasurer of Howard R. Peterman Co., a family-owned general insurance agency in Spring House, Pa.

Dr. Pizzica is chairman of the department of pediatrics at Episcopal Hospital and director of its newborn services.

Mr. Silverman is senior partner in the Center City law firm of Gold, Silverman & Goldberg.

STERLING FINANCIAL Corp., the holding company parent of Bank of Lancaster County, Lancaster, Pa., said J. Roger Moyer Jr., was appointed to the bank and holding company boards of directors.

Mr. Moyer is executive vice president of Bank of Lancaster County and Sterling Financial. He joined the bank in 1978 as head of the trust and investment services division.

PROVIDENT SAVINGS Bank, Montebello, N.Y., promoted Catherine Decker to assistant vice president and loan review compliance officer and Debra Vildoza to assistant vice president and loan servicing manager.

Ms. Decker is responsible for maintaining the bank's compliance program to ensure that it meets the requirements of laws and regulations pertaining to consumer matters.

Ms. Vildoza is responsible for directing day-to-day operations of the loan servicing department, including customer service, loan payments, escrow quality control, automation, and loan setup.

SOUTHEAST

FIRST LIBERTY Financial Corp., Macon, Ga., said Jo Slade Wilbanks has joined its board of directors. She is manager of Georgia Power Co.'s central region.

CAPITAL BANK, Miami, a subsidiary of Capital Bancorp., appointed Kevin D. Flood senior vice president to manage the bank's international correspondent banking department.

Before joining Capital, Mr. Flood had been vice president and manager of international banking for Intercredit Bank, where he was a founding member of the senior management team and responsible for international lending and correspondent banks.

He also had been a vice president of Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. in New York.

FIRST NATIONAL BANK and Trust Co., Stuart, Fla., named A. Douglas Gilbert to its board of directors.

In addition, Mr. Gilbert was promoted to chief operating officer of the bank and will continue as its chief lending officer.

SOUTHERN FINANCIAL Federal Savings Bank, Warrenton, Va., appointed Deborah Robertson commercial program loan officer to handle Small Business Administration loans.
