FLEET FINANCIAL Group Inc., Providence, R.I., has elected six senior executives to corporate positions.

Anne Szostak has been named a senior vice president; Leo R. Breitman, Dean T. Holt, Douglas Jacobs, Erland E. Kailbourne, and Brian T. Moynihan have been promoted to vice presidents.

Ms. Szostak, who continues as chairman of Fleet Bank of Maine, is group head responsible for the holding company's human resources and corporate communications functions.

Mr. Breitman, who continues as chairman and chief executive officer of Fleet Bank of Massachusetts, becomes hub manager responsible for commercial lending throughout Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire.

Mr. Holt, who had been president and chief credit officer of Fleet Bank of New York and continues as chairman of Fleet Bank of New Hampshire, has responsibility for corporate credit administration and corporate risk management.

Mr. Jacobs, who was responsible for Fleet's capital markets group, assumes responsibility for all funding and capital management of the corporation and its subsidiaries, including assetliability management.

Mr. Kailbourne, who continues as chairman and chief executive officer of Fleet Bank of New York, is hub manager responsible for commercial lending throughout New York State, encompassing six major regions (Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, Hudson Valley, and Long Island).

Mr. Moynihan, previously Fleet's deputy general counsel and an executive vice president in the legal division, is responsible for strategic planning and corporate development.
