SILICON VALLEY Bancshares, San Jose, Calif., has appointed Dennis G. Uyemura as executive vice president, treasurer, and chief financial officer. Mr. Uyemura will be responsible for all accounting, finance and treasury activities of the holding company and Silicon Valley Bank.
This appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
Mr. Uyemura was formerly senior vice president and chief financial officer of the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco, where he was responsible for all financial activities.
James F. Burns Jr. and Michael Roster have been elected to the boards of both the holding company and the bank.
A certified public accountant, Mr. Burns is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Houston-based CBR Information Group Inc., the largest credit bureau reporting company in the TRW system. Mr. Roster is general counsel of Stanford University.
