Solomon has tool for direct deposit.

Solomon Software Inc., a Findlay, Ohio-based supplier of accounting software for middle market businesses, is shipping a new module for users of its payroll automation software, enabling companies to deposit checks directly into employee bank accounts via a modem.

The direct-deposit module creates the standard automated clearing house file, which contains the net pay amounts to be deposited for each employee. The file is then sent automatically via modem to the bank. To ensure accuracy and security, the system requires prenotification of the employee's bank and account numbers before actual posting takes place.

Not all employees have to participate in the direct-deposit program and not all of the net pay must be deposited directly. The money can be distributed among accounts by percentages or fixed amounts.

The direct-deposit module is available to Solomon clients who use the payroll module. The direct-deposit module is $595 for single user and $795 for network. The Solomon III payroll module is available separately for $795 for single user and $995 for network.
