PITTSBURGH -- PNC Bank Corp. said it is introducing an international equity fund to be called PNC International Emerging Markets Portfolio.
The fund will invest in securities in developing countries using a "value" investment approach. It will focus on companies from various regions by selecting stocks whose price-to-earnings and price-to-cash-flow ratios are considered low in the securities' home markets.
Investment decisions will focus on the potential of individual companies, not on economic conditions in these companies' home countries, PNC officials said.
