BRATTLEBORO, Vt. -- Vermont Financial Services Corp. and West Mass Bankshares said stockholders of both companies have voted to approve their merger.
The buyer, Vermont Financial, would become the owner of West Mass' United Savings Bank of Greenfield. The Vermont company, the parent of Vermont National Bank, would grow to $1.2 billion in assets.
