CITIZENS Banking Corp., Flint, Mich., said chairman Donald E. Johnson Jr. has resigned.
Charles R. Weeks, president and chief executive officer, was elected to succeed him.
Mr. Johnson, who brought Mr. Weeks to Citizens as president and CEO in 1982, will continue as chairman of $1.3 billion-asset Citizens Commercial and Savings Bank.
He said his retirement from the holding-company positions was persuant to a long-standing plan.
