Money market assets rise a meager 0.1%.

Assets of money market mutual funds edged up to $584.08 billion in the week that ended June 22, a slight 0.1% gain, the Investment Company Institute reported.

The rise, from $583.36 billion the prior week, was concentrated in funds for institutional clients. These assets grew $1.14 billion, to $168.15 billion.

On the retail side, assets fell $421.4 million, to $415.93 billion.

Taxable retail funds picked up $167.3 million, to $324.03 billion. Tax-exempt funds fell $588.7 million, to $91.90 billion.
