Deluxe Data Systems Inc., one of the nation's largest processors of electronic banking transactions, has enhanced the Medicaid-related services it provides to New York State.
The Glendale, Wis.-based company added drug-utilization review and electronic claims capture services to the Medicaid electronic eligibility verification system it has been running for the state since January 1991.
The drug-utilization review service provides pharmacists with on-line access to the prescription history of Medicaid patients.
The claims-capture system allows pharmacists to file drug claims electronically through Deluxe.
About 2,400 pharmacies participate.
