KILMARNOCK, Va. -- Douglas D. Monroe Jr., chairman and chief executive of Chesapeake National Bank, said the institution has changed its name to Chesapeake Bank.
The bank is also embarking on a image campaign.
"Our products and services continue to change as the needs of our customers change," he said in a statement. "Our new name and new look reflect our commitment to serving those needs."
This fall, Chesapeake also will open its first branch in a Winn-Dixie store in Gloucester.
The bank, established in 1900, has six offices that offer full-service banking, as well as mortgage and trust services.
