Independent Financial Adds Variable Annuity
Independent Financial Marketing Group, a marketer of investment products through banks, has added to its product mix a variable annuity from National Home Life Assurance.
The annuity features three portfolios, managed by Fidelity Investments, Dreyfus Corp., and Strong/Corneliuson.
Independent Financial, based in White Plains, N.Y., has 100 financial institution clients.
The top five banks and thrifts have combined total assets of nearly $13 trillion.
Many legal experts think the Supreme Court will rule in favor of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in a case challenging its funding. Such a ruling would unleash a flurry of litigation that has been on hold pending the outcome of the constitutional challenge.
