ORLANDO -- SunBanks Inc., the Orlando-based holding company owned by SunTrust Banks Inc. of Atlanta, said it will merge its Gainesville and Ocala banks by yearend.
The combined bank, the sixth that SunBanks has consolidated in less than three years, will be based in Ocala and have more than $700 million of assets.
