ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. -- First Security Bank of Wyoming has completed its acquisition of Star Valley State Bank Alton, Wyo.
The two banks are among Wyoming's oldest banks.
Under terms of the merger agreement announced in December 1993, First Security Bank, a subsidiary of Utah's First Security Corp, purchased Star Valley State Bank. The two former offices of Star Valley State Bank. located n Alton and Thayne, are continuing to serve households and businesses as full-service branches of First Security Bank of Wyoming. The purchase price was not disclosed.
The merger brings to six the number of First Security offices located-in six communities in Wyoming. The transaction adds $63 million in assets. $38 million in loans and $54 million in deposits to First Security's balance sheet.
