Fleet Names Ferrari to Head Loan Production In Mid-Atlantic

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Gary Ferrari has been named regional vice president of the Middle Atlantic region by Fleet Mortgage Group. He will oversee loan production in 12 retail offices in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

Mr. Ferrari had been senior vice president for retail lending at Arbor National Mortgage Corp., which was acquired by BankAmerica Corp. in January.

He is one of several new people to join Fleet's executive staff since Gerald L. Baker took over as chairman and chief executive late last year.

Fleet also said Anthony B. Cardoza had been named executive vice president of information technology and chief information officer.

Mr. Cardoza will be responsible for managing the company's information systems division. He has also been put in charge of a new front-end origination system on which Fleet said it was spending $28 million.
