Card Briefs: GM Australia Issuing First Auto Card There

DETROIT - issuing the GM Card to consumers Down Under. The card from GM-Holden Automotive Ltd. will allow consumers to save up to $3,000 (Australian) on a GM car or truck. GM said the card, issued by Westpac, will be Australia's first automotive cobranded card. It will be available as either a Visa or MasterCard, with a 16.9% interest rate, no annual fee for the first year, and a 55-day interest-free period.
