Card Briefs: Sony Has One-Step Printer-Laminator

MONTVALE, N.J. - a high-quality, high-speed, digital color printer capable of printing directly onto standard plastic cards, the company said. In a one-step process, it will automatically print and laminate an industry-standard polyvinyl chloride card, especially for the for photo identification-badging and access-control markets. The suggested list price is $11,000.
