In Brief: Pennsylvania's Meridian Issues $150 Million of Debt

NEW YORK - Meridian Bancorp, Reading, Pa., last week brought $150 million in five-year senior notes to market.

The notes have a coupon of 6.625% at 99.932 to yield 6.641%

The noncallable issue was priced at a spread of 70 basis points over Treasuries.

Rated A3 by Moody's Investors Service Inc. and BBB-plus by Standard & Poor's Ratings Group, the issues will be sold through underwriters led by CS First Boston.

Delivery is scheduled for June 12.
