Trade Group In N.C. Names Piedmont CEO Its Chairman

Nick W. Mitchell Jr., president and chief executive officer of Piedmont Federal Savings in Winston-Salem, N. C. has been elected chairman of the board of the Community Bankers Association of North Carolina for 1995-96.

John H. Morrison, president and chief executive officer of First Commercial Bank, Asheville, has been elected senior vice president of the association's board of directors.

H. Clark Goodwin, president and chief executive officer of Bank of Union, Monroe, is the immediate past chairman.

The following people were elected directors of the association for one- year terms expiring: John H. Ketner Jr., president and chief executive officer of Bank of Mecklenburg, Charlotte; John T. Tilton, president and chief executive officer of the Heritage Bank, Lucama; and Frederick Willetts 3d, president of the Cooperative Bank for Savings, Wilmington.

Elected to two-year terms expiring in 1997 were: Roger L. Dick, president and chief executive officer of Bank of Stanly, Albemarle; Bruce D. Jones, president and chief executive officer, Rowan Savings Bank, China Grove; Harold T. Keen, president and chief executive officer, Kenly Savings Bank, Kenly; James C. McGill, president and chief executive officer, 1st State bank, Burlington; and Michael S. Patterson, president and chief executive officer, Triangle Bank, Raleigh.
