Capital Briefs: Former N.M. Thrift VPs Banned from Banking

WASHINGTON - The Office of Thrift Supervision has banned two former vice presidents of a New Mexico thrift from the banking industry.

Robert V. Good and George Milburn consented to the ban without admitting or denying the charges against them.

The thrift agency said Mr. Good, the thrift's top lending officer, breached his fiduciary duty by approving two loans and 251 overdrafts for a man named Bobby Joe Hopper without obtaining required documents and information on the borrower. These actions cost the thrift $187,715.
