In Brief: Park National of Ohio Reports Modest Gain

NEWARK, Ohio - Park National Corp., a $1.4 billion-asset bank holding company, said it earned $20.0 million for 1994, up 5.1% from the previous year. Per share earnings increased 4.1% to $2.80.

The company's net income in 1993 included $1.5 million, or 21 cents per share, resulting from accounting changes. Excluding that one-time gain, 1994 net income increased 14.1% over 1993.

For fourth-quarter 1994, Park National's net income was $4.7 million, or 66 cents per share, up from $3.8 million, or 54 cents, in 1993.
