Sanwa Bank Names Executive

WEST

Sanwa Bank California, Los Angeles, has appointed Donald J. Robinson as senior vice president and manager of its financial institutions department.

The department was formerly known as correspondent banking.

Mr. Robinson held senior positions with First Interstate Bank, Security Pacific Bank, and Bank of California and has a broad background in branch banking, capital markets, and national corporate banking, Sanwa said.

Separately, the bank has restructured its Community Redevelopment Act office and named two executives to lead its CRA efforts.

Kristen S. Walter, vice president and compliance manager, has assumed the additional title of CRA manager and will be the bank's designated CRA officer.

Jackawa L. Jackson, a vice president, will now be community development manager in the bank's CRA office.

Bryan Lyng and Ellen Lee, both assistant vice presidents, provide analysis and monitor compliance with CRA regulations.

The CRA office is part of Sanwa's compliance department, itself part of the bank's risk management group, headed by Roland K. Ojeda.
