Carver Federal Names Executive

Carver Federal Savings Bank, New York, has appointed Raymond L. Bruce corporate counsel and Abdul H. Kabia Jr. manager of management information systems and electronic data systems.

Mr. Bruce had been an assistant counsel to the New York State Banking Department, as well as counsel to Assemblyman Herman D. Farrell Jr. and to the New York State Assembly Banks Committee. He will oversee Carver's litigation, contract, compliance, and other legal areas.

Mr. Kabia, formerly a support and training executive for the LAN/WAN systems of the New York State Banking Department and a programmer for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, will be responsible for all the computer and electronic data systems at Carver Federal.

The bank also promoted Guy Brea to assistant vice president/branch coordinator and Evelyn Jackson to assistant vice president/community affairs and CRA officer.

Mr. Brea will run the retail operations of Carver's eight branches, while Ms. Jackson will be responsible for all relations between the customers, businesses, and community that Carver Federal serves.
