Women's Bank In Denver Picks Berkeley as President, CEO

Virginia K. Berkeley has become president and chief executive officer of Women's Bank, Denver, a subsidiary of Equitable Bankshares of Colorado.

Ms. Berkeley joins the 17-year-old financial institution with 20 years of banking experience.

LaRae Orullian, one of the bank's founders, will continue as chairman.

Ms. Berkeley has spent the last 15 years in Colorado after beginning her banking career out of state. She served as assistant vice president at United Bank of Denver (Norwest) from 1980 to 1986. During her eight-year career with Colorado National Banks, she was a vice president of the commercial loan division and president of the company' Denver Tech Center and Northeast banks. Most recently, she was a senior vice president and business banking manager of Bank One of Denver.
