Short takes: Second in Command Resigning from Fimco

MILWAUKEE - William Niemann, the No. 2 man at Financial Institution Marketing Co. is calling it quits this week after five years there, he said.

Known as Fimco, the Milwaukee company trains bank brokers and markets bank brokerage programs for 35 clients.

"I'm seeking a career change," said the 53-year-old Mr. Niemann, who is executive vice president and general counsel. He declined to comment further about his departure.

Frederick Henry, founder and president of the firm has not announced any replacement, Mr. Niemann said.

Mr. Niemann, who has yet to find another job, said he is seeking out law firms and companies looking for a corporate lawyer. Mr. Niemann was a partner at Niemann, West & Darnieder for 15 years before moving to Fimco. The law firm still exists, but Mr. Niemann is no longer a partner there.
