SunBanks Names Sr. VP for Trusts

SunBanks Inc. has a new chief for its personal trust division in central Florida.

Late last month the Orlando-based bank, a unit of the $44 billion-asset banking company SunTrust Banks Inc., named Phillip Rich senior vice president.

The native Floridian fills the position made vacant by the sudden death of David Walsh last May.

Mr. Rich, who has been with SunBanks since 1986, will take charge of trust administration and tax, real estate, and portfolio management. He will report to Hunting F. Deutsch, executive vice president, who oversees SunBanks' statewide trust and investment services.

Steven Randolph was also named senior vice president. He will be responsible for employee benefits administration statewide - the position formerly held by Mr. Rich.

SunBanks is one of the oldest providers of trust and investment services in Florida. This fall the bank will begin operating under the name SunTrust Bank.
