Citizens in Mich. Names Vitito To Be Its Next Chief Executive

Robert J. Vitito, president and chief administrative officer of Citizens Banking Corp., Flint, Mich., has been elected chief executive officer, effective next year.

He will succeed Charles R. Weeks, 61, who is retiring. Mr. Weeks will continue as a director and chairman of the board.

The holding company said that as part of the transition, effective immediately, David A. Thomas Jr., vice chairman of the corporation and president of Citizens Commercial and Saving Bank, Flint; John W. Ennest, vice chairman, chief financial officer, and treasurer of the corporation; and Gary P. Drainville, executive vice president and director of human resources of the corporation will report to Mr. Vitito.

Mr. Vitito is also chairman of Second National Bank of Saginaw, Citizens Banking Corp.'s second-largest affiliate.
