Short Takes: Chase Taps Sales Pro For Variable Annuity

NEW YORK - Chase Manhattan Bank Corp. has hired a new sales manager, James Galiano, to promote the bank's variable annuity.

The variable annuity, Vista Capital Advantage, is overseen by the same portfolio managers of the money-center bank's Vista Family of mutual funds.

Mr. Galiano comes to Vista from Guardian Investor Services, New York, where he was a regional sales director. A 15-year veteran in the marketing and sales of fixed and variable annuity products, Galiano has also managed the sales and systems development at Keystone Provident Life Insurance Co. and New England Life.
