Sydow-Taylor Gets Promotion At Countrywide

Countrywide Funding Corp., Pasadena, Calif., has promoted Barbara Sydow-Taylor to senior vice president in its correspondent lending division.

Ms. Sydow-Taylor, who had been first vice president of the division's operations department, now oversees all operations at its regional operating centers and is responsible for timely loan underwriting and funding.

Ms. Sydow-Taylor has been with Countrywide for two years. Previously, she held senior management posts at various financial institutions in the Los Angeles area.

Countrywide Funding also said Andrew Gissinger 3d had joined the correspondent division as a senior vice president in charge of production, overseeing sales at the regional operating centers.

A 13-year veteran of the mortgage banking business, Mr. Gissinger was most recently president and chief executive of First National Home Finance Corp.

Before entering financial services, Mr. Gissinger played professional football as an offensive lineman with the San Diego Chargers.

In another announcement, Countrywide Funding said Tom Halley had been promoted to executive vice president for consumer markets in its western division. He is now responsible for consumer lending in 19 states and oversees 130 branches and 380 employees that service real estate professionals and consumers.

He had been regional vice president in the Rocky Mountain region. Earlier in his career, he was vice president and production manager at Bank Western Savings and Loan.

Countrywide Funding is the principal lending subsidiary of Countrywide Credit Industries, the nation's largest residential lender.
