Card Briefs: ATM, On-Line Debit Cards Accepted by Shell

HOUSTON - Shell Oil Co. said its participating service stations are now accepting Interlink and Maestro on-line debit cards, as well as Pulse EFT Association's automated teller machine cards.

Customers can use the PIN-based Interlink and Maestro debit cards both at automated card readers at the pump and inside Shell stations, the company said.

All cards can be used for purchases of gasoline, automotive products and services, and convenience store items. Pulse cardholders can also use the card to get up to $50 in cash, with or without a purchase.

Shell has one of the largest gasoline retail networks in the United States, with more than 8,700 stations.
