National City's Brokerage Hires Away 2 Execs from Rival McDonald & Co.

CLEVELAND - National City Corp.'s brokerage subsidiary has hired away two executives from a rival securities firm.

The $35 billion-asset banking company's Natcity Investments unit hired Gordon Price and Matthew Stuczynski from hometown competitor McDonald & Company Securities Inc.

On Friday, Natcity Investments named Mr. Price chief financial officer and Mr. Stuczynski vice president.

A 27-year veteran of the securities business, Mr. Price was formerly treasurer at McDonald & Co., where Mr. Stuczynski was a first vice president.

As head of public finance in the investment banking division, Mr. Stuczynski will cover local government activity in northern Ohio and coordinate financing efforts for local governments in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania.

NatCity Investments is a full-service brokerage, dealing in and underwriting both corporate debt and equity securities, as well a wide range of retail investment products.
