Mellon Bank Names Executive

Mellon Bank Corp., Pittsburgh, said Margaret K. Cohen, director of corporate communications, has been named a vice president in the corporate affairs department.

Currently, she is responsible for directing Mellon's communications initiatives, including media relations, employee communications, and shareholder and external publications.

David C. Crawford has been named a first vice president in the global securities services department. He is manager of global accounting, responsible for master trust accounting for Boston, and corporate actions and pricing for Mellon Trust.

Charles J. Billerbeck has been named a first vice president in the capital markets department. He is responsible for underwriting, structuring, and syndicating leveraged transactions.

Others named vice presidents were Carolyn J. Kozlowski in the private banking department, Willard J. Martin Jr. in credit policy, Vicki K. Parnell in finance, and William F. Yanosh in information management and research.

Ms. Kozlowski is relationship manager, responsible for managing private banking client accounts, loan origination and business development. Mr. Martin is senior credit officer. Ms. Parnell has been as principal financial analyst and manager of accounting operations. Mr. Yanosh is his department's as lead operator, shift manager, support unit manager, and section manager.
