Mortgage Bankers Install New Officers

The Mortgage Bankers Association of America installed new officers at its annual convention.

As reported earlier, Paul S. Reid, president and chief executive of American Home Funding Inc. in Richmond, Va., was designated president. He replaced BancBoston Mortgage Corp. chairman Joe K. Pickett, who remains on the trade group's board of governors. Mr. Reid previously was chairman of the executive committee.

Designated as president-elect was Ron J. McCord, president of American Mortgage and Investment Co., Oklahoma City.

Marc C. Smith, president of Crestar Mortgage Corp. in Richmond, was elected vice president of the group, replacing Mr. McCord.

The new treasurer is Robert W. Fidler, senior vice president with Fleet Real Estate Capital in Nashville.

Warren Lasko, who is based in the organization's Washington headquarters, remains as executive vice president.
