Banc One Unit's CEO to Lead New Effort in Indirect Lending

Robert G. Davis, currently president and chief executive officer of Bank One, Columbus, a unit of Banc One Corp., has been named president and chief executive of a company being formed to manage all of Banc One's national indirect lending activities, including consumer indirect and dealer floor-planning activities.

"Banc One is currently one of the largest indirect lending banks in the country, and we see even more opportunity to expand our indirect lending business in current and new markets," said Richard J. Lehmann, president of the parent company.

Mr. Davis joined Bank One, Columbus as president in September 1991. Prior to that, he was chief credit officer of Bank One, Texas. He has 20 years of experience in banking and financial services.

Mr. Davis will report to Donald A. Winkler, chairman and chief executive of Finance One Corp., a subsidiary of Banc One Diversified Services Corp. Frederick L. Cullen, currently chairman of Bank One, Columbus, will assume the additional titles of president and chief executive. Mr. Cullen will also continue as president of Banc One Ohio Corp.
