Patriot National Bank Names Executives

NEW ENGLAND

Patriot National Bank, Stamford, Conn., elected Salvatore Trovato and Richard Naclerio directors, increasing the board to 16 members.

Mr. Trovato owns Trocom Construction Corp., Maspeth, N.Y., and is a private investor who holds slightly less than 5% of Patriot's 1.2 million common shares outstanding.

Mr. Naclerio is a real estate developer and owner of Ran Consulting Corp., Pelham Manor, N.Y., who holds about 4% of Patriot's common shares outstanding.

New Canaan Bank and Trust Co., New Canaan, Conn., hired Robert F. O'Connell to be vice president and chief financial officer.

He is responsible for all asset and liability management, investments, management and regulatory reporting, and accounting.

Mr. O'Connell had been senior vice president, treasurer, and chief financial officer of First Trade Union Savings Bank in Boston.

Union Trust Co., Stamford, Conn., said Timothy L. Prete has joined it as vice president in the private banking division.

Based in the Greenwich office, he is responsible for developing and expanding private banking to the medical market in Greenwich, Hartford, and New Haven, Conn.

Mr. Prete was a vice president and senior relationship manager for the Connecticut region in the private banking department at Fleet Bank in Hartford.

Westport Bank and Trust Co., Westport, Conn., hired Kenneth M. Griffin as vice president in the trust department.

He is a trust officer and director of fiduciary and asset management administration.

Mr. Griffin had been vice president and Fairfield County manager of trust administration and real estate at Fleet Bank.
