Sheridan to Lead Northern Trust's Internatioal Team

Jean Sheridan, senior vice president of Northern Trust Co., Chicago, a subsidiary of Northern Trust Corp., has been named head of its newly established international team.

Mark Van Grinsven has been named general manager of the bank's London branch. He will have overall responsibility for the United Kingdom and European custody markets, securities lending, performance analysis, foreign exchange, and international commercial banking products.

Mr. Van Grinsven replaces William Dodds Jr., who returns to Chicago to lead the company's corporate strategic planning efforts.

Most recently, Mr. Van Grinsven was responsible for large corporate and correspondent banking in the bank's Chicago headquarters.

Steve Fradkin, vice president, will head international and investment manager sales worldwide. He will also assume responsibility for research and development of new markets.

Keith Martin joined the bank's Canadian office as vice president of business development, reporting to John Pike, president of Northern Trust Canada. He previously worked for Chase Manhattan in Canada.
