Credit Suisse Names Executive

Credit Suisse, New York, said Barry R. Sloane has been appointed a member of senior management as group executive for private banking at Credit Suisse USA.

He replaces Frank Meister, who will assume new responsibilities in the senior management of Credit Suisse.

Mr. Sloane joins Credit Suisse from J.& W. Seligman & Co., where he had been senior vice president responsible for the origination and client service for all private account/trust company assets.

Jay Chall, member of senior management, has assumed responsibility as group head for the recently formed trade and export finance group. In addition, he is deputy of corporate banking.

Mr. Chall had been group head of corporate banking for the mid-Atlantic region. Christopher Eldin, a member of senior management, will now undertake that role.
