Infante Becomes Vice Chairman At Miami-Based City National

E. Anthony Infante has joined Miami-based City National Bank of Florida as vice chairman of the board.

Until early this year, Mr. Infante was chairman, president, and chief executive of Trade National Bank, which he founded in 1983. From 1980 to 1982, he was president of Intercontinental Bank. Both banks are based in Miami.

Earlier he was a vice president at Southeast Banking Corp., Miami, which was acquired by First Union in 1991. He also was president, chief executive, and chairman of three subsidiaries: Southeast Bank of Coral Way, Southeast Bank of Westland, and Southeast Bank of Tamiami.

In addition, he was executive vice president and director of Southeast First National Bank of Miami and a member of its executive lending committee.

City National said Rita L. Infante also has joined the bank as senior vice president, international banking. Mrs. Infante is a co-founder and former director of Trade National Bank.

Leonard L. Abess Jr. is chairman of City National, a family-owned, family-run community bank. Allan T. Abess Jr. is president.
