Card Briefs: National Data Earings Rose 46% in 3d Quarter

ATLANTA - National Data Corp. earned nearly $4 million in the quarter that ended Feb. 28, 46% more than a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, earnings in the quarter - the third of the company's 1995 fiscal year - rose from 20 cents to 28 cents.

Revenue rose 22%, to $62 million. It was the sixth consecutive quarter of revenue increases.

Robert A. Yellowlees, chairman and chief executive, said the growth reflects continued strengthening of the company's core business segments - health care and integrated payment systems. Revenues in those segments increased by 40% and 20%, respectively.
