Sterling Bancorp Names Executives

MIDDLE ATLANTIC

Sterling Bancorp, New York, hired two vice presidents for its growing financial services businesses and one for its banking division.

John Gallo joined Zenith Financial Services to work with the unit's president, John Murphy, on developing the company's consumer receivables financing business nationwide. Mr. Gallo was formerly assistant director of special assets at Home Savings of America and first vice president of a New York City bank.

Bernard Werblow joined Sterling Factors to assist Stan Officina, executive vice president and senior factoring executive, in credit, account management, and overall growth of the factoring division.

Morris Weiss joined Sterling National Bank and Trust as senior lender in the corporate bank lending group.
