In Brief: $75M Ahmanson Issue Managed by Lehman

NEW YORK - H.F. Ahmanson & Co., the Los Angeles thrift, issued $75 million of medium-term notes, due April 15, 2000, according to lead manager Lehman Brothers Inc.

The notes have a 7.65% coupon and were priced at par to yield 70 basis points over five-year U.S. Treasuries.

Noncallable for life, the notes are rated Baa1 by Moody's Investors Service Inc. and BBB-plus by Standard & Poor's Corp.
