In Brief: Bank Secrecy Act Seminars in California

The California Bankers Association is holding two one-day seminars on how to avoid Bank Secrecy Act violations and penalties.

Topics to be covered include avoiding common currency transaction report errors, defining a suspicious transaction, and developing a "know your customer" policy.

The seminars will be held on Feb. 7 in San Francisco and on Feb. 10 in Costa Mesa. Registration costs $185 for members and $235 for nonmembers. For more information, call Dorothy Hong at 415-284-6999.
