Card Briefs: Fair, Isaac Tool Aids Credit Union Scoring

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. - Fair, Isaac & Co. introduced software to help credit unions approve credit applications for a variety of products.

CrediTable, consists of predeveloped revolving credit, direct lending, and indirect installment loan scorecards, which are based solely on credit union data.

"Until now, we have supported credit unions' scoring needs with broad- based solutions like credit bureau scores," said Jeff Kato, product manager of CrediTable. "We have now accumulated enough credit union data to build a more focused pooled data scorecard for the credit union industry," he added.

CrediTable can also be used to determine pricing and fee structures based on an applicant's risk and to cross-sell additional or alternative products.
