In Brief: Fifth Third to Purchase Bank of Naples, Fla.

CINCINNATI - Fifth Third Bancorp said it agreed to acquire Bank of Naples, Fla., for an undisclosed sum.

Bank of Naples operates three offices in Collier County and has assets of $57 million.

The acquisition is expected to be completed in the third quarter.

The branches of Bank of Naples will be combined with those of Fifth Third Trust Co. and Savings Bank in Naples, Fla.

At the merger's closing, Fifth Third will have four full-service banking centers in Florida.

Fifth Third Bancorp has $15 billion of assets and 12 affiliate banks with 354 branches.
